At Compliance Boards, we believe displaying essential certificates should be both simple and stylish. Our story begins with two friends - both named Chris - who share a passion for quality, a knack for problem-solving, and just the right amount of wit to keep things fun.

Compliance Boards are all 100% Made in the USA. Our production facility is located in Good Hope, GA.

Founders

  • Chris Smith

    Chris Smith has spent much of his career in the restaurant world. After owning a Five Guys franchise, he went on to helm Zunzi’s and Zunzibar—popular eateries headquartered in Savannah, Georgia—and is now actively franchising them out. Between juggling staff, perfecting menus, and expanding his restaurant footprint, Chris noticed one universal hassle: how to properly display those ever-important licenses and permits. He set out to eliminate the taped-up certificates and cheap frames once and for all, envisioning a better, easier way to keep businesses compliant and looking professional.

  • Chris Corneliuz

    Meanwhile, Chris Corneliuz was in his workshop, crafting custom interiors and cabinetry for a range of clients—one of his largest being Five Guys locations across the Southeast. His ability to merge aesthetic design with rock-solid construction was exactly what Chris Smith needed for the new compliance board concept. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality materials, Chris Cornelius jumped at the chance to bring this innovative idea to life.

Our Big Idea

From brainstorming over coffee to building prototypes in the shop, the two Chrises combined their expertise to form Compliance Boards: straightforward, easy-to-install panels that securely hold your most important documents. No more wrinkled papers or awkward frames—just a clean, modern solution that keeps you compliant and looking good.
